Our goal is to test the wireless network and building infrastructure to learn about
internet access speeds
our ability to 'interact' with specific sites on the internet
So, once you are on this page, you may begin 'testing' for us. Let us know if the page DOES NOT load, any error message you see, or any other 'issues." You can click on the links below in any order. Spend a few minutes at each site to allow the page to load and to see how it responds.
1. Flash-based site: Starfall.com 2. This site uses 'Virtual Manipulatives.' Choose an activity at any grade level: http://nlvm.usu.edu/en/nav/vlibrary.html 3. News sites that embed streaming video - play a video at each site:
Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click on one of the three pdfs to download. They should load directly into your 'download' folder on the dock.
6. Discovery Education - play / download streaming video:
On the top left side of the page enter: 'tech4kids' for the user name and 'lumenchristi' for the password
Click on the 'streaming' video tab at the top left
Click on Science - on the left side of the page
Click on the 'How Plants Grow' video - or any of the videos on this site that you would find interesting
Click on "How Plants Grow" to view all the segments or associated videos, and, on the right hand side click on the 'download' button to download the entire 19 minute video:
Then make sure the video will play.
